Collette's USANA Story

When I was first introduced to USANA I had little interest in the business. The company sounded impressive. I knew that it was publicly traded and had Dr. Myron Wentz, a world-renowned scientist at the helm, but I just didn't have time for another thing in my life.

Before I was introduced to USANA my two youngest daughters, Sharlie (read Sharlie's amazing story here) and Lexi were experiencing critically poor health. Both were born with the chronic degenerative disease, Cystic Fibrosis. Lexi underwent a pioneering procedure, a double lung transplant, in August of 1993, just weeks after her thirteenth birthday. The transplant went beautifully, but just nine days after the transplant Lexi's body rejected the new lungs. In an attempt to save Lexi's life, she was put into a medically induced coma and remained on life support in intensive care for nearly three months. Lexi was down to 50 pounds - her body devastated by the ordeal she had been through, and Sharlie's lung function tests had reached the point that our doctors were discussing the possibility of putting her on the transplant list as well. I was desperate. Having seen what poor health can do to a body, especially someone you love, I became interested in searching for ways to maintain optimal health for me and my family. USANA was the answer.

Lexi passed away on March 5, 1995 due to late rejection of her transplanted lungs. No drugs could combat this acute rejection, but I do believe that USANA's products helped Lexi as they have helped my entire family to have a good quality life while maintaining health and well being.

Our family faced a very serious financial situation after Lexi's ordeal. I didn't know what I was going to do to help cover Lexi's physical therapy expenses and to help support our large family. I needed to make a lot of money, I needed to make it quickly and it was essential that I worked from my home so I could be with my girls.

I recognized that USANA was radically different from other "network opportunities" I had previously looked into. Begin by sharing the product and finding at least two others to do the same, with no levels or breakaways, no group volume requirement, commissions pay out weekly instead of monthly...etc. It seemed to me that all negatives were eliminated. I had nothing to lose - and everything to gain.

I originally got involved in USANA because of the products, but now I can honestly say that the USANA financial opportunity has made the difference between financial devastation and incredible prosperity in our family.

I have now been working USANA as a business for fifteen years. Larsen Global Alliance has been the top earning distributorship in USANA for eleven years - 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. I have achieved the rank of 10-Star Diamond in USANA, and I have helped hundreds if not thousands of people earn an extra stream of residual income.

What started out as "mom's USANA business" has evolved into a family enterprise. My children are now grown with children of their own and they've traveled the world with me sharing this message of improved health and financial independence. USANA is now operating in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Mexico and Korea.
